Mighty Robot – Meet the Team

Updated: May 24

Mighty Robot is on a mission to change driving games as we know them today. We're working on publishing the future of the genre, focusing on free-to-play in order to reach the widest possible audience, and revitalise a genre stuck doing circuits. And we recognize how racing games can grow to beyond just a gaming experience, with the opportunity to expand into becoming a platform for brands, content, and esports organizations.

But to power a vision, you need people. And we've brought together a leadership team with over 50 years of combined experience to help fuel our goals and publish the next generation of racing games. Read on to learn more about the team behind the wheel of the exciting future of racing.

Maxim Matveyko – CEO

Maxim brings twelve years of experience in the games industry to Mighty Robot, with previous roles including VP of Business Developer at Nival and Managing Director at Game Insight. He also has over five years experience working in the China market at Wargaming, publishing its megahits World of Tanks and World of Warships in the region, a notoriously tricky location to navigate.

With his experience leading teams large and small, along with his expertise in publishing some of the most-played games in the world, Maxim is vital to ensuring the games that Mighty Robot publish perfectly match our aims for pushing the industry forward.

Sebastian Radu – COO

A bonafide expert in multiplayer gaming, Sebastian founded the first esports operating company in early 2000s, pioneering the industry in Spain. Through his work there, he introduced ESL to Spain, a partnership which led to him setting up and driving forward the Spanish subsidiary of ESL, the global esports powerhouse.

But he didn't stop there. Sebastian went on to head up ESL departments around the world, including the roles of Managing Director of the LATAM region and CEO of ESL Asia. His bountiful knowledge of multiplayer games is key to driving our vision for free-to-play racing.

Marc Diaz Williams – Chief Gaming Officer

Marc is also no stranger to the world of gaming. He co-founded marketing agency Katapult in 2010 and Katapult Sports in 2015, which focuses on the sports and entertainment industries, and has been the exclusive agency for EA for almost a decade. Through these ventures, he led the team that founded the Virtual Football Organisation, Spain's largest esports community, and was in charge of creating content for eLaLiga, Europe's biggest FIFA esport competition.

Marc's creative vision and knowledge of the market is invaluable to Mighty Robot's mission, and he is key to making each game we publish get the attention they deserve from a vast audience.

Joel Lautier – Chief Strategy Officer

Some of you may recognise the name Joel Lautier from his former life as a chess grandmaster, having been the youngest World Junior Chess Champion ever, and one of the world’s top ten chess players for many years. But Joel has exchanged his chess boards for boards of directors, and now boasts 13 years of experience in M&A and venture investments. As well as joining Mighty Robot as our Chief Strategy Officer, he's also currently the CEO of RGG Capital, a Russia-based investment bank which has closed deals worth an aggregate of $1.8 billion.

With his unbeatable financial eye and his ability to see three moves ahead at all times, Joel will be a valuable asset in driving our future of racing games in the direction we envision.

Our core team may be small, but we have big plans for the future of free-to-play racing games. Interested in learning more, or working on a game you think fits our vision? Get in touch via our website.
